In my opinion as former law enforcement, CL has gone way beyond what free speech permits and has become a conduit for these illegal activities (and perhaps others I haven't seen nor investigated) and should be shut down permanently, with its officers thrown in prison for facilitation and as accessories to every crime that has ever taken place over its servers.
